STEIREIF Henri

Heinrich Nicolaus STEIREIF was born in Luxembourg-city (Wassergasse). His father Rudolf was born in Koblenz and came as Kunstschreiner to Luxembourg. His mother Anna HOSS was born in Oberpetruss (Hollerich) and offered her services as Glanzbüglerin at 4 Fischmarkt.
STEIREIF and HOSS married in 1916, and Henri was born in 1917. The couple, however, separated in 1919. STEIREIF Rudolf was reported “actuellement sans domicile ni résidence connus”.
Henri became a Kraftwagenmechaniker and, when he had his first child Marga in 1943, he lived in Bonneweg (18 Baumstrasse). In the same year his father was reported living at the same address, looking for employment as Klavier- und Möbelpolierer.
By 1945 Henri had moved to 20 rue Michel Rodange in Luxembourg-city.
Henri STEIREIF died in Luxembourg-city in 1996.
