Paul SCHOLTES was born in Luxembourg-city (Bädergasse 11) in 1884. His father’s occupation was Gerichtsvollzieher. His mother Johanna KREIDEWOLF was of German origin.
Paul married Eugénie LEVY in Hollerich in 1908. His occupation was Geschäftsbeamter.
He founded his own business around 1910 as Geschäftsvertreter and established his residence in Luxembourg-city (Äusserer Ring 4, boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte).
In 1919 SCHOLTES offered for sale large volumes of Brennholz giving an address in Pulvermuhle. By 1922 he had set up a second wood-cutting operation (Sägewerk) in Weiler la Tour.
Paul SCHOLTES died in 1922 at the age of 38 in Pulvermuhle (Villa des Rochers). He had only one child, a daughter, aged 15.
In 1923 the assets of his industrial enterprise were put up for sale by his widow.
