JAENICKE Jules
Julius JAENICKE was a manufacturer residing in Elberfeld (DE). He made an invention in the field of “apparatus for malting purposes “ for which he obtained patents in Austria, United Kingdom and France.
While the Austrian and British patents indicate that JAENICKE was residing in Elberfeld, the French patent mentions Luxembourg as his residence in 1903.
His presence in Luxembourg, however, cannot be documented.
(The only persons by the name of JAENICKE known in Luxembourg around 1900 were the family members of Ferdinand JAENICKE, born in Berlin in 1829; he was a Gerber residing in Luxembourg-Clausen and had 5 children. It is quite possible that Julius instructed Ferdinand or one of his children to file his patent application in France, giving the Clausen address as his address of residence.)
