HARY Jean Pierre
Jean Pierre HARY was born in Niedercorn in 1856. His father, Dominique HARY (b. 1832), was Lehrer in Niedercorn.
By 1861 the family had moved to Gonderange where Dominique HARY was still teaching. The latter, however, left the teaching profession and joined the Chemins de fer Prince Henri. He became maître de station in Mertert. His next assignment was Capellen (1871).
Jean Pierre HARY followed in his father’s footsteps and and joined the Chemins de fer Prince Henri as well. The 1885 Wiltz census shows that he had been assigned there as Stationsvorsteher. He resided in Wiltz with his parents. Father Dominique was then a Rentner.
Jean Pierre HARY became Stationsvorsteher in Pétange and in 1895, at the age of 39, he married Marie Antoinette THEIS, born in 1872. The couple lived in the Pétange station together with Jean Pierre’s parents and had 2 children.
Jean Pierre later became contrôleur d’exploitation of the Chemins de fer Prince Henri, in Pétange.
He died in Pétange in 1932.
