GRASBON Constant
The GRASBON family originated in St Ingbert (Bayern).
Constant’s grand-father Guillaume GRASBON (b. 1803) came to Luxembourg around 1860. He was a maître fondeur. He was accompanied by his wife Marguerite WEYDERT and eight grown-up children. The family settled in Rumelange.
Constant’s father Nicolas GRASBON (b. 1837) was a maréchal. The latter married Madeleine HARTZ in 1871 in Esch sur Alzette. Madeleine was born in Esch sur Alzette in 1840. The couple had five children and resided in Esch sur Alzette. Nicolas’s occupation was Mechaniker (1871) and later Constructeur Meister (1890) in Esch sur Alzette.
Constant GRASBON was born in 1878 in Esch sur Alzette and became a Mechaniker and later a Constructeur.
His father, Nicolas GRASBON, died in 1899. The estate of the family was sold in a public auction by Court order in 1910.
Constant GRASBON died in 1930 in Rédange sur Attert at the age of 52. He was not married.
