GINSBACH Félix
Victor Félix GINSBACH was born in 1896 in Philipp-Gasse in Luxembourg-city. His father Charles Victor GINSBACH was born in Limpach and was married to Marie BEFFORT.
Charles Victor (1867-1933) was an accountant who worked first in a bank and later (1899) as Buchführer for the “Société Anonyme des Hauts Fourneaux et Aciéries de Steinfort”.
The family thus moved to Steinfort around 1900 and Félix GINSBACH grew up there as an adolescent. He was a student at the Luxembourg Gymnase, and from 1917 to 1920 he studied Bergbauwesen in Aachen where he obtained the title of engineer.
In 1921 Félix and his brother Gustave (expert-comptable) founded a company in Steinfort by the name of “Manufacture Luxembourgeoise de papiers et cartons, Ginsbach frères”.
The object of the company was:
commerce du papier et du carton ainsi que de produits manufacturés en gros et en détail
Next, GINSBACH associated with Clemens HANNEN and Edouard WURTH by creating in 1927 the company “Ginsbach, Hannen et Wurth, ingénieurs, bureau technique et commercial s.e.n.c.”
By a court decision of January 1930, the company was dissolved and liquidated.
In March 1930, however, GINSBACH and HANNEN re-created the company, without WURTH, under the name of “Ginsbach Hannen & Cie., s.e.n.c”.
The object of the company was:
… la représentation, dans le Grand-Duché et à l’étranger, de maisons industrielles et de commerce, l’acquisition et l’exploitation de brevets et de marques de fabrique de tout genre et toutes opérations mobilières et immobilières qui se rattachent à cet objet ou qui en facilitent la réalisation.
In 1935 GINSBACH, HANNEN created a subsidiary in Belgium. Félix GINSBACH took charge of it and became a resident of Belgium.
It is not known when and where he died.
