DELVAUX Arthur

Arthur DELVAUX was the son of Nicolas DELVAUX-HAUSEMER (see “Dictionary of Luxembourg inventors”).
Arthur qualified as maître-serrurier and entered the family company trading under the name of DELVAUX-HAUSEMER.
The company was managed by founder Nicolas and his son Arthur.
After the death of Nicolas DELVAUX in 1965 the family company was converted into a société à responsabilité limitée (s.à r.l.). Arthur DELVAUX continued managing the company.
After Arthur DELVAUX’s death in 1976, the company’s finances declined and it was placed under gestion contrôlée in 1979.
In 1984 it was decided to dissolve DELVAUX-HAUSEMER s.à r.l. which decision finally took effect in 1992.
In 1976 Arthur DELVAUX died in Steinfort where he had lived all his life.
