CITO Claus

Nicolas (Claus) CITO was born in Bascharage in 1882, son of Jean CITO, Hufschmiedmeister, born in 1847 in Bascharage and Susanne LEICK, born in 1855 in Mondorf. The couple lived at “im Dorff 103”.
Susanna LEICK died in 1885 when Claus was 3 years old.
His father Jean remarried in 1887 with Margaretha AST, born in 1858 in Dahlheim.
In October 1895 Claus left home to study in Arlon.
CITO’s professional career is extensively described in the “Lëtzebuerger Konschtlexikon“.
Claus CITO died in 1965 in Pétange and is buried there.
