BERG François
Frédéric BERG was born in Bruxelles in 1873 and was registered as Karl Hubert BERG.
He was married to Elise LEUTENEGGER, born in Zurich. They married around 1890 and resided in Zurich, where their first son was born in 1892.
Their second son was born in Luxembourg-city, where Frédéric’s occupation was Clinischer Instrumentenbauer (Bandagist). The family resided in the Regierungsgasse and by 1896 had moved to 8 Brückenring (Boulevard Roosevelt).
BERG’s business, however, went bankrupt in 1896 (see Addendum).
The 1900 Census shows that the family had moved on to 7 Badenburgerstrasse (rue de Clairefontaine).
The presence of Frédéric in Luxembourg is still documented up to 1904 when he applied for two patents. They suggest that he was still active in the field of making clinical instruments.
