HENGEL Nicolas

Nicolas HENGEL was born in 1826 in Bivange/Roeser. His father (cordonnier) died in 1835 when Nicolas was aged only nine.
Nicolas later joined his eldest brother Henri in Roeser where they worked jointly first as menuisiers and subsequently as mécaniciens.
In 1866 he married Anne Marie EVERLING in Roeser. The couple had four girls.
The Roeser Census of 1867 shows that Nicolas and Anne Marie had set up their own home in Roeser with newly born daughter Barbe (and widowed mother-in-law Madelaine HELMINGER).
Nicolas HENGEL died in 1893 in Roeser.
