LUDWIG Charles
Charles LUDWIG, born in 1872 in Aspelt, was the son of Ferdinand LUDWIG Grenzaufseher, born in Martelange.
Charles became himself a Grenzaufseher (Gendarm). He held positions in Bettembourg, Hosingen (1898 – 1900), Aspelt (1901-1903), Rodange (1903-1906, Grenzaufseher) and in 1906 he was promoted to Polizei-Kommissar in Differdange.
In 1909 he left public service to become a commerçant in Moyeuvre-Grande (Thionville).
His first wife Céline LOSSON, born in the Lorraine, died in 1917 in Metz. Charles LUDWIG worked in Aspelt at the time as Kaufmann.
In 1921 he married a second time with Magdalena ARRENSDORFF. His occupation was recorded as Privatbeamter and he was resident in Luxembourg-Eich.
LUDWIG died in Luxembourg-Eich in 1924. His occupation was again commerçant.
