Mathias WELFRING was born in Differdange in 1908, his father was a Handelsmann. Mathias became a maître-coiffeur.
In 1945 he resided in Schouweiler and held his salon in Esch sur Alzette.
In 1946 he divorced his first wife, remarried, and took up residence in Esch sur Alzette.
He died in 1998 in Esch sur Alzette at the age of 90.
