DAUPHIN Jean Maurice

Jean Maurice DAUPHIN was born in Rollingergrund in1891. His father Alphonse DAUPHIN was an Accisenbeamte, and at the same time operated a distillery in Esch-sur-Alzette. In the years 1890-1899 he published three leaflets relating to the Brennereigewerbe.
Jean Maurice was married to Marguerite GÉRARD, daughter of Alphonse GÉRARD, Civilingenieur und Minendirektor.
The DAUPHIN-GÉRARD couple resided in Differdange and later in Soleuvre.
Jean Maurice DAUPHIN probably worked as engineer in the Differdange steelworks.
In 1941, under the Nazi occupation, he had to change his family name to DOFFING.
He died in Luxembourg-city in 1967.
